Future X (spoiler)

In Future X you get to see more of what you saw in the end of Hindsight part 3(click to see the video). The Sentinels are in full force in this post apocalyptic future. They capture Professor X along with Cerebro and are taken to a mutant prison. There he meets up with Bishop, Hellion and Marrow, and together they stage a plan to escape.

Finally an episode about the future X-men. I thought action in this episode was great especially with Bishop. It was good to see the different ways he exhibited his powers. Second place for power usage goes to Kamal, he kicked some serious Sentinel ass with his metal from. The plot was great and I hope to see more episodes of the future X-men. The only complaint I have is no Cable. Where the hell is he? I mean this is a future episode and he is isn't anywhere in it. Maybe they'll put him in another future X-men episode along with more Master Mold. This episode takes second place for action in the series next to the Magneto battle (click to see video) in the pilot. To sum this up Future X gets a 10. Time Bomb (review)

In 'Time Bomb' Logan and the X-men try to save mutant-kind after the brotherhood kidnaps Nitro(living bomb) and attempts to send him to Genosha but are thwarted by the X-men. This episode was pretty good, not as good as the others but still fun to watch. They seemed to have a new take on Nitro in this series instead of being a villain he is more of a sympathetic character. In addition to Nitro we have another mutant cameo, Psylocke. I liked how she looked in the series and her powers were portrayed nicely(with the exception of them not showing her forge weapons with her mind ). Although she did get owned by Emma Frost; I expected a way better fight between the two of them. Speaking of fights Cylclops, Shadowcat, and Iceman win for creative use of their powers, especially Kitty when she phased into the brotherhood plane with her "hi Rogue " moment. Personally, the best part of this episode when we get a glimpse of the father-son relationship between Pietro and Magneto. All in all good episode but not great.

Dead Space: Downfall (review)

For those of you that are fan of the game Dead Space here is a treat for you. Film Roman is releasing Dead Space:Downfall, a movie prequel to the video game.If follows the story of how an alien infection that turns humans into Necromorphs(alien hybrids) is spread when the crew of the Ishimura removes an ancient artifact form a Dead planet. The main character Alissa Vincent along with her security team is sent to quarantine these alien but are soon overturned by the alien hybrids.The animation is flawless, the plot is good, there is plenty of action to keep you interested. The characters are likable especially Vincent who stole the movie as a non-alien charater and Samuel Irons comes in a close second being Kevin Michael Richardson fan(dude should get an emmy). This is a great animated movie for adults or really mature kids it has an MA rating due to the explicit language, mass amount of blood and depiction of body dismemberment, enjoy this movie. I know i did. ( the game and movie are avilable on Ares Ultra or Sharing Zone)

The Secret Saturdays: Guess Who's Going to be Dinner

Doc and Drew(Drew looks hot in her dress) decide to go out together on their anniversary, which leaves Zak, Fiskerton, Komodo, and Zon to watch their home. After tricking Dr. Beeman, their babysitter and another Secret Scientist, into thinking a UFO was sighted, they get the house to themselves and decide to have some fun. But, their fun turns into trouble when a strange man named Pietro Maltese (Piecemeal) invades the Saturdays HQ and attacks Zak and his cryptid pets. And it's up to Zak to stop him from trying to devour Fiskerton and get him out of the house.

Rookies (review)

This weeks episode of Star Wars focuses on the Clone Soldiers and the fight to protect their home planet Camino. When the droids take over the military base on Camino, Rex, Cody and a band of Rookies (Shinies)must destroy the base in order to warn the republic and stop the invasion of their planet.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. The first action scene with Rex was better than any of the Jedi fights so far. Also the writers did a good job capturing military. They also seemed to test censorship using the "hell" twice. Though the main characters didn't really play a big part in this episode ,but it was nice to see other parts of the Star Wars universe.

Wolverine Vs. The Hulk

With last week's episode focused on our favorite blue mutant (no, not BEAST) we now see that the focus is back on the star. In this episode Wolverine (Logan) gets a visit from Nick Fury who asks for some help with a little problem, the Hulk. Wolverine refuses, but Fury threatens to give the real names of the X-men to a certain Senator. After agreeing to help, because of Fury's 'incentive', Wolverine Promises that him and Fury will have "some serious words" when the problem is over. While on Hulk's trail Logan finds claw marks all over a desolate town. Before he could figure out what it was Hulk charges in and a battle erupts. Hulk seems to have the upper hand but when wolverine shoves a sleep bomb in his mouth turning him back into Bruce Banner. Banner then wakes up and tells Logan that S.H.I.E.L.D. asks him to create a cure for the monster called the Wendigo. With the information from S.H.I.E.L.D. and his own experience with monsters he creates a cure that is in an abandoned helicopter. The two find the helicopter but are ambushed by a pack of Wendigo realising that it can infect people with a bite. Logan fights off most of them slicing off the one of their talons. Banner tries to find the cure but is ambushed by the rest of the pack turning him into the hulk again. Meanwhile Wolverine finds the cure and shoot them with it, revealing the monsters were Fury's agents . Logan confronts Fury about this and Fury tells him that it's none of his business. in the end wolverine threatens to tell Fury's bosses about the Wendigo if they reveal the identities of the X-men. Then he awakens the hulk by hitting banner, leaving him with the parting words, "have fun Fury".

Good Copy Bad Copy ( Ben's evil twin)

A Galvan (Grey Matter) named Albedo impersonates Ben complete with his own Omnitrix, but is stuck in Ben's form. Albedo claims that he built the Omnitrix and Azmuth didn't while stating the Ben's Omnitrix is unstable and will lose power. Albedo will try anything to claim Ben's Omnitrix in any way. In the end a battle between Albedo and Ben ensues transforming giving him grey hair and red eyes but still remaining in Ben's form. Azmuth stops the fight and punishes Albedo by disarming his Omnitix forever keeping him in human form.

Sscret Saturdays: The Ice Caverns of Ellef Ringnes

The Saturdays head to the Arctic circle after one of the secret scientist (Dr.Chichu) disturbs a Inuit chamber and gets attacked by a wolf-like cryptid called the Amarok. While Doc and Drew attend to the injured Chichu, Zak and Fiskerton lose The Claw and get lost in a cave which is a mystic burial mound. soon they're attacked by an entire pack of Amaroks as a result of Van Rook and Doyle raiding the tomb. Van Rook and sidekick escape trapping Zak in the cave, but run into Doc and Drew leading to a fight. Zak eventually returns the mystic artifacts back to the cave and with the enhancement of the mystic artifacts he uses his cryptid powers to lay the beast to rest(with Doyle's help).

Star Wars:The Clone Wars (Destroy Malevolence)

While the Republic appears to have the upper hand things take a turn for the dark side when Padme and C-3po are taken hostage by General Grievous aboard the damaged Malevolence. Anikan and Obi-Wan sneak aboard to save the senator and destroy the ship. They succeed but Grievous escapes in the process

Wolverine and the X-men: X-Calibre ( Nightcrawler)

The X-men use Cerebro to locate Nightcrawler (Kurt Wanger), but because of his powers they're unable to find him. Meanwhile, Nightcrawler boards a cargo ship to Genosha to protect the mutants on it when the ship gets attacked by Spiral and the Reavers. The Reavers capture Nightcrawler and other mutants and attempt to destroy the ship. Kurt escapes Spiral and with the help of Network, Dazzler, Squidboy, and Pixie they defeated the Reavers.After that the X-men find Kurt and he agrees to be allied with them. At the end Spiral reports to her boss Mojo and now he wants the X-men.

The Secret Saturdays:The Vengence of Hibagon

The Saturday family go to Japan to investigate a disturbance by a crytid called the Hibagon. After their first encouter with the animal Zak realizes he can't 'communicate' with the cryptid and also it can talk. When they encouter the Hibagon a second time he explains to the family that his name is Professor Talu Mizuki.Using his mind transfer device the professor switched bodies with the Hibagon to stop his employer and crime lord Shoji Fuzen. However things go wrong when the machine was destroyed and the professor lay trapped in the body of a cryptid. The professor finally find Fuzen to exact his revenge but is stopped by the Saturdays. In the end the Doc and Drew Build the professor a secret lab and Continue to unlock the secrets of Kur.

Star Wars: Shadow of Malevolence (s01e03)

After discovering the location of a Confederacy cruiser housing a devastating new weapon, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his padawan, Ahsoka Tano lead a daring assault against the ship Malevolence. However things go wrong when Mavolence tries to attack an unguarded medical base. Anakin saves the base but only cripples the ship.

Darkstar Rising (Ben's redemption)

Today was the season two premiere of Ben 10: Alien Force and it was pretty good. I mean despite the season finale and the huge let down with Alien X, this episode definitely redeemed the series. A head Plumber comes to earth accusing Ben, Gwen, and Kevin of impersonating plumbers. This accusation doesn't bode well for the Ben and the gang leading to a fight. The Plumber easily overpowers Kevin, but reaches a stalemate when Ben transforms into Goop,disarming him. After the fight the Plumber leaves with Kevin's badge, and the threat of throwing the team into the Null Void. The next day the gang gets attacked again but this time by a Highbreed commander, almost defeating him. The Plumber returns in the midst of the fight, thinking that Ben and the gang attacked the Highbreed. We soon learn that this has all been a setup by Mike Morningstar, who is now Darkstar. He is more powerful (and uglier) than he was in his last appearance and needs more power to sustain himself. Darkstar looks to The Plumber, Ben, Kevin and the Highbreed to feed his power. while being drained of thire power. Gwen and DNAliens free them and they all defeat Darkstar.

Clone Wars premiere

The Cartoon Network premiere of the Clone Wars started yesterday and it seems to keep a better pace than the Clone Wars movie. the writing was okay, but there is a problem with the animation because it did not move as fluidly as the 2003 clone wars series. I also don't like how the characters are drawn, they're too rigid, I know it's CGI but still a little movement goes a long way. Despite all this, I think there is room for improvement in the series. This show is recommended for younger Star Wars fans as they can get into the story quicker.

Below are the summaries for Clone Wars two episode premiere

Ambush(1.01):

Jedi Master Yoda and three clone troopers -- Jek, Thire, and Rys -- must face off against Count Dooku's dreaded assassin Ventress and her massive droid army to prove the Jedi are strong enough to protect a strategic planet and forge a treaty for the Republic.

Rising Menevolence(1.02):

Anakin and Ahsoka have to save Jedi Master Plo Koon and his clone troopers after the Separatist Army uses their devastating new weapon the ship called Menevolence.

Wolverine and the X-men: Thieves Gambit (recap)

Wolverine rescues Magma(Amara Aquilla) from the Mardies(Mutant Restraint Department) by using an inhibitor collar built by Forge to help control her powers. Meanwhile Gambit is hired to steal that collar from the X-Men. Using his tracking abilites Wolverine finds Gambit, only to find out he already gave the collar to his client.After a breif confrontation Wolverine hires Gambit to find the person he sold it to. The two arrive at a MRD science facility and steal back the collar, but then they are attacked by sentinal prowlers. In the midst of crossfire Gambit forces Wolverine to give up the collar and fend for himself. However he tricks Gambit and returns home with the collar stating that "we need better locks".

The Secret Saturdays:The 'Secret' is out (pilot review)

Doc, Drew and Zak Saturday are a family of world-saving scientists called "The Secret Saturdays". Living in a hidden base, they are part of a network of cryptozoologists called The Secret Scientists who protect mankind against all the hidden and terrifying things in this world. In this show, ordinary folktales aren't just legends, but real-life mysteries and adventures. Traveling from the hot Gobi Desert to the depths of the Marianas Trench, they explore ancient temples and bottomless caves and battle with twisted villains like the madman V.V. Argost who hides his evil plans under the ruse of his popular television show Weird World.

Seeing the pilot yesterday the show is off to a good start. It is a kids show but it's not too 'kiddie'. The pilot titled Kur Stone did a great job establishing a solid base for the characters and illustrating the cryptids. the animation reminds me of Jonny Quest( 60's) which is another one on the plus column. The bad thing I have to say is, there were not enough action sequences but that's about it. I recommend seeing this show on cartoon network on Fridays.

Wolverine and the X-men: Overflow (recap)

Logan (Wolverine) gets another message from Charles (Professor X), telling him in the future, Africa will be destroyed by Storm. The message is cut short when Emma Frost sneaks in the room. Wolverine is still wary of Frost but, lets her help find Storm. As the team sets off to Africa, Cyclops is still depressed about Jean. Meanwhile Storm is using her powers to help a village when her body is taken over by the Shadow King and gives her false visions, tricking her to flood the village. The X-men arrive and stop Shadow King's hold on Storm. In a feirce battle Shadow King is defeated by Emma Frost.

Wolverine and the X-men: Hindsight part 3 (spoiler alert)

The X-mansion is now rebuilt with the financial assistance from Angel and technological help from Forge. They soon get a visit from Emma Frost wanting to join the X-men. At first Wolverine refuses to let her join but she convinces him by saying she can use Cerebro to find Professor X. She succeeds in locating him in the island of Genosha, but trouble arises when they are attacked by Magneto. The battle went on until Magneto overpowers the whole team. Wolverine surrenders and Magneto takes them to Professor X where he lay in coma. Now back at the mansion, the team receives a telepathic message from him twenty years in the future saying that Wolverine must lead the X-men or the world will be in Danger for everyone. In the final scene the future Professor walks out in a cemetery with the names of X-men written on the tombstones.

Wolverine and the X-men: Hindsight part 2 (spoiler alert)

Wolverine and Beast try to get the X-men back together. After searching they locate Iceman and Shadowcat.They also find Colossus, Angel, and Cyclops but all of them refuse the offer to join the team. This leads to a violent confrontation when Cyclops blast Wolverine through a wall. Meanwhile the Brotherhood of Mutants and Rogue try to frame the X-men for an attack on Senator Kelly leading up to Rogue joining the Brotherhood.

After an explosion at the Xavier Institute Wolverine is now on the road for more than a year and the tensions from between mutants and humans have increased. After saving a little girl named Erica from a train fire Wolverine is hurt and wakes up in Erica's house. Healing from his injuries the MRD bust into the house arresting Erica and her family. With help from Beast, Wolverine help Erica's family escape along with a few imprisioned mutants and Wolverine decides to bring together the X-men again. Here are some pictures from Hindsight part 1:
